About

My username comes from a lyric in Taemin's song "Ace."

Writing has been a big part of my life, and I don't see that changing at any point. I sometimes need to take breaks, and sometimes those breaks stretch for years. But I always come back to writing in the end.

Besides writing fic, my hobbies are reading, collecting manga, cross-stitching, and bothering my two cats. Lately, I also watch a lot of kpop variety/interview content on YouTube.

I've written in several other fandoms prior to kpop, big, medium, and small. I like to keep my fandom activity seperate, so I create different accounts based on fandom types. Regardless of genre, my preference is to write in the canon univerise (although not exclusively.) My fics tend to be character-focused and introspective; there is typically some internal conflict to resolve that is focused on far more than an external conflict. I write often about queer themes and mental/emotional health issues. While some degree of angst is almost always present, my fics often get described as cosy or healing. There is always a happy ending, although what that looks like varies.

My writing weaknesses are imagery, settings, and humor. A friend once told me that all my fiction at its core is a series of scenes in which characters have serious conversations. Honestly, I can't dispute it, hahaha. But I have been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone and work on the areas where I'm lacking.

Some of my favorite fic tropes to read are time travel, amnesia, and communication barriers. In terms of thenes and subject matter, I like reading about queerness, disabilties and menatl health, and character working to resolve a genuine mistake they made. I'm also very drawn to stories with unreliable narrators and atypical structures and formats.
